For displaced, misplaced, and nostalgic ex-Bronxites

I left the neighborhood when I was 13 in 1974. I don't recall Wing Fong. If memory serves me right there was also a Jewish bakery between Davidson and Grand ave on Burnside. Don't recall the name but I remember those delicious cheese knishes filled with blueberries. The scent has never left my memory. There was also Rico's Pizzeria on Burnside and Harrison.
