The current TV series "Brilliant Minds" is based on Dr. Oliver Sacks and takes place in the Bronx. A recent episode had an exterior shot that was filmed at what used to be the Home and Hospital of the Daughters of Jacob on East 167th St and Findlay Avenue. There's a photo of that extremely unusual building on Page 2 of the photo gallery on this website.

Dr Sachs was the main character in the 1990 Movie with Robert de Niro. Awakenings. A good movie. It stated he lived on City Island.
