I do remember Shipman's on the east side of the GC just south of Fordham. But so very few remember Bon Bon's

Yes, it was Bookmasters. In later days, it shared a storefront with a stationery store, Shipman's.

I think that bookstore was Bookmaster's. I used to hang out there too in the 60s, not for the books, but because I had a crush on a girl who worked there.

We walked from Tremont. Sometimes to the Paradise Sweet Shop. Across the Concourse was Krum's ice cream. Everyone loved Krum's... I can't remember the book store.

We'd walk there all the way from 170 St. And also hang out at the bookstore a block away. I forgot its name though.

Does anyone remember Bon Bon's next to the Paradise. It was a fun place to hang out and crowded with teens from all over the Bronx!
