A friend of mine recently mentioned going to a movie theater in Section 3 of Coop City in 1971 that I never knew existed. Anyone remember a movie theater there? Where was it exactly? What happened to it?

The closest movie house to CO-OP City was Bay Plaza on Bartow Avenue. I didn't live here in 1971 but I am familiar with Section 3 and I can't picture where a movie would be.

The movie theater was on BARTOW AVE
Right below the eyeglass place

It then became a BINGO HALL for many years

The Chinese buffet is still there.
It is now inside the mall and is where 7 SEAS Diner used to he, it also took over PANERA BAKERY
