This photo could be on any Bronx street. If you know the candy store you got it (I don't)Two features ,the odd flat homes and the Radio antenna frame (build so people could make long wire antennas for their Radio).Later on ,when Radios and transmitters got better, the frames were used to string clothes lines

Looks like the upper right is an elevated train, so I'm guessing White Plains Road? Maybe north of Gun Hill, near Louie's Restaurant from Godfather fame.

Behind the streetlight & to the left of it there is a square structure. This type of building is usually found at an elevated subway station. This photo is one which is a street scene that has a subway station, one which might be above the candy store in the center of the picture

Agree about the el, so it could be White Plains Rd, Westchester Ave, Third Ave, Jerome or River Ave. My guess is Westchester Ave, maybe near Leland Ave. I'm not sure about the odd feature.

The more I look at this picture, I more I believe that there's an elevated train above. The street topography elminates BWAY Having ridden the #2, #4, #5 trains for numerous years going to work I can't recall see any similar stores as I looked down from the trains. This brings me to the #6 train, with a station being at the square structure I had mentioned in my original post
