Dominicks Restaurant 3rd Ave 180 St Return to topicsPost to this topic

My father sold them most of their meats . During WW2 when it was very hard to get meat he was able to supply them. It was an incredibly busy restaurant. With lines down the block especially on Sunday. We were very friendly with the owner, I still remember going there to their home in Point Lookout LI.

Hi.I only ate there once.My father took me there. It was 1960.The steak that I had was not a great piece of meat. The waiter asked me if there was that much "waste" on it.I was 14 ,so maybe I was "picky".I don't know if my father spoke to the waiter about it.He did eat there time to time

My parents were both Bronxites. I lived there during World War 2. We regularly dined at Dominick's Steak House on 3rd Ave and 180 St. I understnd that it closed after a fire in the 60s(?) Anymore info on it would be great. It was a wonderful old fashioned steak house.
