It's not that hard making a comparison between NYC Projects and Coop City. They are the same. It wasn't that way years ago when I moved into Coop City, NYC Projects were dumps and Coop City was a step up. Now Coop City is as much a dump as any NYC Project.

i haven't really been to Co-op City much(except once, for about 5 minutes) since my father died, in 2004. Give me an example of how it's deteriorated.

I'll start with the crime problem. Cars are stolen from the parking garages so frequently that one of my neighbors actually rents space about a mile from here to park his car safely. He takes a bus to and from this space.

And to think that once I borrowed my father's car and by left it in the Section 5 garage with one of the front windows rolled down by mistake, and a few days later went back and it was still there with no problem! This would have been in the '70s.

Elevators are constantly broken. Garbage overwhelms the chute rooms which smell up whole floors. Window replacements failing. Graffiti in stairways. Mailboxes broken into. Cracked and dangerous sidewalks. I could go on.
