Train or Bus passes Return to topicsPost to this topic

Did you use train or bus passes to commute to high school? Would parents these days allow their children to ride mass transit unescorted to school? How much of a trip did you have?

15 cent token on the #4 train.

I don't remember getting a pass to take the Q44 from Castle Hill to the Hutch-St Helena. Maybe I did. Too long ago.

For high school I went to Clinton and would get my bus pass at the GO Store during lunch on Thursday or Friday for the following week

Bus passes were 10 cents a day, EXACT CHANGE no PENNIES

Yes, I took the train and sometimes the bus.. I was allowed to travel with my friends from age 9 on. We went to museums mostly. I would not let my child travel alone today, but she were with her friends, I'd allow it.
