For displaced, misplaced, and nostalgic ex-Bronxites

Posted by Chris on Sunday, December 8th 2024: There was a gas station on the north east corner of University about 50 feet north of Burnside Avenue right next to the Aqueduct. It seems to be abandoned for the last 30 years. Seems like an ideal location for a gas station cause the nearest one used to be at Fordham Road & the Deegan before it shut down in recent years making Bailey Avenue & 230th street the nearest gas station. Unless the property is tied up in litigation I can't see why the city wouldn't sell the property.
