For displaced, misplaced, and nostalgic ex-Bronxites

Posted by John S on Sunday, July 14th 2024: I loved getting mail as A kid.Part of that was sending for cereal box toys.After nagging Mom to buy a cereal that she knew that I would never eat,the box top and 25 cents went off in the mail.6-8 weeks later ,my goodie came. guess we all remember the decoder rings,baking soda submarines Etc.I also found out that if you send for one travel info)for A state),you would wind up with 48 large mailings.Fun for me,maybe not for the Mailman.Probaly not just the Bronx ,but all part of growing here.
