Bainbridge at that time was probably the best.It was unknown to almost every Bronx kid I went to high school with.It was truly like a small town where every one knew each other yet it was the Bronx with four great parks in walking distance[Van Cortland,Bronx Park,Mosholou and the Oval}We had all the stores every neighborhood had and the zoo ,Botanical Gardens,Arthur Ave. and the original Montefiore hospital a little further walk.Also De Witt Clinton High Science High and Evander nearby. Great Catholic & Jewish schools too Two bowling alleys and wide streets for stickball etc.We didn't realize how lucky we were
