If I'm not mistaken groundhog day 1960 saw a blanket of snow in the Bronx. We actually got a ride in a postal truck (we sat on the mailsacks) to our Lady of Lourdes in time to see a groom lift his bride over the snowy threshold. We stayed for the wedding. There were maybe 10 people in attendance. What an incredible morning!! Then we walked home. Semis were stuck on pelham Pkway for at least 2 days. That happened before too. I doubt it happens today. ???
