The NY Catholic Protectory had a lot of open grounds, try looking at some old pictures of it. The apartment buildings south of Pelham Pkwy were built in the 1920s, when there was A LOT of vacant land. Co-Op City was built on what was once FREDDOMLAND.

Many H & H became Burger King in Manhattan
