Tremont Ave -Southern Blvd Area in the 1940--1960s

The area had plenty of stores, movie theaters and was crime free. Bronx Park and Crotona Park were within walking distance. Trains & busses going to any part of the Big Apple especially downtown were within easy reach. Extended family & close friends were close by. It was the post WWII era bubble of good times.

Do you have any special memories you'd like to share of this Bronx neighborhood in those days or if you did not live in that area do you have special memories in the same time period in other neighborhoods in the Bronx?
