Back before the Zoo got control of the land, you could walk both sides of the river. The East side of the river was quite a piece of land. You entered at the gate on E 180 right along the river.Walking about one mile you came to the Farm in the Zoo. There was a gate there left mostly open. This area became the Casting pool, where you could rent a set up rod and reel. The hook wasn't barbed and it was catch and release deal.Walking up and over the Bridge, you walked on Boston Road back toward E180. The river views were great ,both East and West sides. Can't do it now.
