The Allerton movie theater was only a half block walk from my Cruger Avenue home. The nearest movie theaters to the Allerton were the Burke on White Plains Road (one subway stop north at Burke Avenue) and the Globe and RKO Pelham on White Plains Road/Pelham Parkway/ Lydig Avenue (one subway stop south at Pelham Parkway).
