Kevin, I sure do remember that place. Next to Reliable Food Mart. Old style candy store with the tin ceiling, chrome soda fountain and ten-cent egg creams. Right across from Strauss Stores. (Strauss sold toys and games at Christmas time) My aunt, uncle and cousins lived at 2235 Gleason. Top floor. In that small "T" shaped apartment building. You could watch the #6 train dogleg northeast towards the Zerega Ave Station. I remember that old building. Five stories, dingy dark fluorescent lighted landings. My aunt always wanted a house in Queens with a backyard for the kids. I lived on the other side of the Cross Bronx at 1990 Gleason, but in those days, everything was within walking distance. St. Helena School, Hugh Grant Circle. Great memories.
