You have a terrific memory!!

I can remember my 6 grade classroom being on the top floor of PS-67. I would look out of the big window and see a one story auto shop on Mohegan Ave below. Then I would look a little further and see the trees on Southern Blvd adjacent to the benches. If I looked to the left I could just about see the public restrooms at Tremont Ave and Southern Blvd & maybe the A&P on Southern Blvd.

My 6th grade teacher could not control most of the boys and there was allot of shouting, laughing and disruption going on. Some of those children would escape the classroom to the gyms on the roof area and the principal would chase them down the stairwell.

I can also remember the atomic bomb drills in the early 1950s where we had to get under those desks with the ink wells.
