What I remember about the classrooms.
The alphabet,script and print,were on cardboard cards in every room above the blackboard
During WW2 the windows were taped in case of an air attack.
The entire wall by the entrance was a wardrobe
The little ink well in the corner of your desk had to be carefully watched
My tall friends at their desks had to spread their feet out to the aisle
Seating was usually alpha and a very large classmate could be seated in front of you
The top of the desk could be lifted to reveal storage space and it became loaded with miscellaneous junk
It was the most wonderful years of my education
