My bedroom window at 615 Pelham Parkway gave me a view of Pelham Parkway with all those great cars swooping past, including the painted ladies of those times, the 1959 Caddilacs, in all their gorgeous glory. From that window I could also see the Bronx Farm in the ZOo. It was a great panorama -- In the near distance there was a huge Marconi radio tower that brought in all manner of wonderful stations on my (haha "Nonnna's") Sony transistor radio - even as far away as Pittaburgh in the winter. And to my left, the Pelham Parkway El with its wonderful rumblings late at night in the summer with all the windows wide open (No A/C). From the rooftop we could easily see the Empire State Building.I felt like The IKing of The World when I looked out that window. And in winter when it snowed it was llike being inside a greeting card
