Hi Barbara.Well ,I'm not "rich".And yes Landlords are nobody's friend. But, would want to lose money?Look at the farce NYC is into now.Between convics ,street people, endless people pouring across our boaders,it's millions a day to keep this going. The 1800s through today ,the "poor" live like dogs.Sad as it is,that's the way it is.If they had a volunteer city tax of say an extra 20% off your money,to pay for these people would you do it?New people moving in and paying want different new buildings. What is "ugh and cold" to you might be cool to them. The $45,00 a month rent is more like $45 a day,and that's for a dump.Noblesse Oblige is fine,if you can afford it.The Bronx spent many a year dying,And to a degree it did.For it to thrive and push up and out,it needs new money, new blood.
