My dad was a Safety Supervisor for the Pullman Company. Most of the years growing up he had an office in Grand Central Terminal. because of his position my family was lucky enough to travel all over the USA in sleeping cars on the big trains. Since my mom's family was from Chicago we used to go there about 6 times a year. Several times I went across the country to spend summers with cousins in CA. At the time I had no idea how fortunate we were.
