Sticker Shock

Posted by Janice M on Saturday, April 8th 2023:

The brick row house I grew up in on 212th Street was bought by my parents in the late 50s for $15,000. In 1975, my mother sold it for $32,000. Today, that same house goes for around $400,000. I do not know how any middle class family could ever afford it. It's sad to think I wouldn't even be able to buy back my old home if I wanted to.
