The Parkchester IRT #6 Station was visible from the 5th floor of my window. I estimate about 400 yards away. Eastbound train came roaring in on a curve from St. Lawrence Ave.
Then, a ten-story high-rise apartment was built on Newbold Ave around 1966.
It Completely blocked the view of the station. Used to be able to see the rear of old Dollar Savings Bank on Hugh Grant Circle way back then.
I think it's an Apple Bank now.
