Both the Woodlawn Jerome #4 train within walking distance and The D train under the tressel was
within walking distance. If it rained unexpectedly , my mother would send me to the station with an umbrella for my father when he came in from the city.
I lived on West Tremont, 1 1/2 blocks from Jerome Avenue.
