My parents still lived in the Bronx.......I left home and moved to Manhattan. I felt free to get involved in
so many things before I would settle into schooling or a career.....worked with civil rights groups
(CORE) and so much else. I loved living in the city- now I could never afford to live there.
I loved the building I grew up in and my heart sunk when they razed it for a middle school.
