Misterl, "Beefsteak Daly`s" with its impressive canopy, HAS to be the landmark! I totally agree with you! The clue tells us that it is "a very interesting Bronx landmark". I am wildly guessing that after Beefsteak Daly`s closed down, it became a CHURCH with its new "landmark" name of "Mount Olive Temple Baptist Church". The actual address of that church was (and may still be) 1220 Jerome Avenue which is next door to 1218 Jerome, the former address of Beefsteak Daly`s. Perhaps both addresses combined to make one expanded church! Your thoughts, Misterl?
