Misterl, I also have the book and found that unusual looking streetlamp on page 59. If John correctly guessed the photo`s location of 1220 Jerome Avenue, then the streetlamp is no longer there today. I am very puzzled by Beefsteak Daly`s and its canopy. The more famous restaurant, Beefsteak Charlie`s is still around but I don`t think there is any in The Bronx. Any thoughts about a nearby landmark in the photo? The only one that I could think of is the new Yankee Stadium.
