Sammy, I think you might have it, sort of. In the book "The Bronx, Then and Now" by Stephen Samtur and Martin Jackson on page 59 is a photo of Jerome Ave. & Shakespeare Ave. with that style street lamp. That's only one block south of 167th St. along Jerome Ave. The street lamp is probably not a city lamp but a style installed by the building's owner. The book photo shows it right next to a normal street lamp which is twice as tall. So the location could very well be near Jerome Ave. & 167th Street.
