Did you say Johnny Pump or Fire Hydrant?

I grew up with a tiny "Johnny Pump" on the sidewalk directly in front of my two-family house at 2731 Cruger Avenue. We NEVER called it a "fire hydrant"! It is STILL there and brings back great childhood memories of my growing up years while playing around it and ON it with my friends.

Did you also refer to the fire hydrant on your block as a "Johnny Pump"? How close to your home was it located? Any memories to share?
