Yes, I lived in the apartment building bordering Harrison and Kingsland Place. That was a steep hill and when you reached bottom you could turn sharply left to stay on the Tremont Ave. sidewalk and sled a little further.

One time I skidded at the bottom into the street and hit the side of a bus (or maybe a trolley - was that long ago). Fortunately, not hurt.
