On my last night of active duty at Sheppard Air Force base in Wichita Falls, Texas , myself and few buddies went to the on base Airman's club to celebrate our last time together. Anyone who's ever been to Wichita Falls knows it's a great place to be from.....far from, lol. Anyway, as I walked into the vestibule entrance of the club There was this short skinny doorman who I immediately recognized as someone I knew from PS 91. Hadn't seen him since we were about 9 years old (it was now 1984 and we we're in our early 20s). I went up to him and asked him if he was Jeffrey Miller and he said yes. He asked me if I was Edwin Martinez and i said of course. It just amazed me that even tough we're now grown men we were able to pick each other out after not seeing each other since childhood. Neddless to say we had a great time catching up. Why we didn't exchange phone numbers is beyond me. We haven't seen each other since that night on Wichita Falls, Texas 39 years ago.
