Back in the Bronx I had great experiences....instant friends in the building and we could travel into Manhattan by train at very young ages. We played handball at school and at NYU on University Ave. Bus to the beach (Orchard) and the Bronx Zoo.....wonderful memories.
I can take MetroNorth and be in Manhattan in under two hours and another train from Grand Central to the
Bronx- of course I could drive there too.
Where I live I don't worry about parking - free lots in town and plenty of parking spots and a bagel shop equal to the Bronx bagels. It's a tourist town and we're near so much: Performiong Art Center, Independent movie, Fairgrounds, Restaurants from 3 Italian, American, Indian, Thai, Israeli, Mexican, Japanese, Irish and on and
on and on. The apt community. I'm has a parking lot all free. They fix and if needed replace anything that doesn't work.....they have a dog run and a very small playground for kids.
