I worked in Bay Ridge at Victory Memorial........and was raised on West Tremont.........I only left
Brooklyn a few years ago but my neighborhood was almost all Haitian and it felt like family.....a
real community ... would still be there if my landlord didn't sell the house my apt was in.
But the Bronx people like Brooklyn obviously enjoy going back if only via the boards.
