Hi, Jerry!

Zimmerman Playground on Britton Street, between Barker and Olinville Avenues, was my playground during my growing up years of the 1940s and early 50s. It was only a two-minute walk from my Cruger Avenue backyard and White Plains Road. My guess of the reason for the playground`s below street grade/level could have been its having a very large concrete wading pool which dominated much of the playground`s area. Thanks for the memory...and welcome back!
