I left because NYC Board of Education decided that busing was the answer to desegreation. My child was going to be bused to another neighborhood. It was then, that I decided it was was time to leave the Bronx. I cried when I left. It took me a year me to get use to my new enviroment. I visited the Bronx as often as could.
Many years later and watching the crimes commited in the Bronx, I have no regrets! But I do have fond memories of growing up in the Bronx.

I am sure other Bronx Boaders have similar stories.
