And just to maybe confuse matters a little more, the Bronx Zoo, which does have pedestrian crossings over the Bronx River, was opened in 1899. And it is listed as the 11th best zoo in the world! I think we agree it's probably in Bronx Park which includes both the zoo and botanical gardens.
