Oh yeah, I remember the Parkchester 'cops' all right. We tried our best to avoid them. The fact is that if you got your name taken three times, I think it was, the Parkchester management would send a letter to the parents. Also, it wasn't uncommon for a kid to give a phony name and address to a cop. There was no quick way for him to check, after all.
