1970 Crime and drugs coming into And around Morris Heights area of Burnside and Harrison Avenues. Also 3 & 4 alarm fires burning down rows of commercial stores. All quality of life issues were the signal it was time to go so we wound up in a great place in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. 12 years later I returned to NYC for 20 years as a Police Officer working in the Bronx and Harlem.
