John, P.S. 96 on Waring Avenue was my elementary school from 1943 to 1950 (kindergarten to 6th grade). I don`t recognize that building as being P.S. 96; however, I think that building could be Christopher Columbus High School on Astor Avenue, one block south of Waring Avenue.
