I also went to Franks in the 1960's and it is amazing that it is still there. Did you realize that there was 3 sporting goods stores in a 3 block stretch Park Ave to Third Ave. Frank's on Park Ave. Cromwell's on the s/e corner of Washington Ave and Colivito/s between Bathgate and Third Ave.(all on Tremont Ave.) In the 60's I preferred Cromwell's, I found the staff at Frank's to be rude.
