Hi, Ed!

My brand new apartment building at 2080 Barnes Avenue in the Pelham Parkway section was built around 1951, shortly before we moved there in February, 1952 when I was 13 years old. I can remember the entire layout of my apartment and could describe the locations of every room, including the vestibule at the front door and the narrow hall leading to the bathroom and passing by the two bedrooms.

Although I have no idea of how you could find the design plans of pre-war buildings, may I suggest to you that you find a GOOD architect to help you design your 5 room replica of your apartment, based on your thorough description of it, even if the exact measurements are NOT perfect, but APPROXIMATELY just enough for him (or her) to satisfy you!

Wishing you the best of luck!
Sammy
