I could not agree with you more. If you check out what is affordable housing, most start at yearly salaries
of $65,000 on.......that's medium income. We can do better for New York........and after leaving the
Bronx, I lived in Manhattan and later in life, worked in a hospital in Brooklyn for three decades The
changes in architecture leaves me cold.
People moved to the village because it was known for poets and artists and off, off broadway plays..
but they replaced everything with HUGE rentals and mom and pop stores with Gucci and the like...Bleecker Street has completely been torn down and made over.......The Bronx isn't affordable anymore...even the
cheapest borough Staten Island is so expensive- and check out the cost of the Verrazano Bridge...yikes.
