Yes Riverdale/Keltons ice skating rink closed and became a Loehmans womans clothing store for many years. After Loehmans closed it was for a brief while after that a beer distributorship. The old building was torn down and it is presently a strip mall with a Fed Ex, a nail salon, a self storage and a Japanese habachi grill restaurant. Had many a great time in the late sixties at the Riverdale rink. As a student at Holy Spirit school we got 1/2 days on Wednesdays to allow the public school kids to come in for their religous instruction. Riverdale rink ran a special session on Wednesdays for all those Catholic school kids who got out early to go ice skating for a few hours. Then of course early Saturday mornings was another time we would go there too. Those were the days my friend !
