Around 1969-1970 many "Bronx" politicians lived on Park Drive. At that time you had to leave the Bronx and enter it through Pelham Manor. But they could legitimately claim to be Bronx residents in that exclusive and expensive area. I sometimes would drive there and always would see a Pelham Manor cop car tailing me until I left. At that time License plates often indicated where the car came from. My plate started with "BX", so the cops knew that I invaded their exclusive domain from the Bronx.
