Where Was Your Favorite Hill For Sledding?

With SO MUCH snow that many of us are having this Winter, youthful memories of sledding down our favorite hill close to our Bronx homes, are bound to come into our thoughts. My hill was located inside a huge open lot stretching a full block from White Plains Road to Olinville Avenue. It began on street level, starting on the White Plains Road side and then almost immediately, plunged into a crater-like formation at the bottom
of the hill on the Olinville Avenue side. It was truly a thrilling experience for me and all the neighborhood kids who gathered there with thir sleds.

Do you have memories to share of going sledding down your favorite hill? If so, was it on a street with a steep hill or possibly inside a big open lot or park? Where was it located?
