Did You Walk To Your Neighborhood High School?

I never had the opportunity to walk only three blocks to Christopher Columbus High School from my Barnes Avenue home (Pelham Parkway neighborhood) because my high school (Music and Art) was in Manhattan. It took an hour to get to M&A by bus and train. Some Bronx high schools, such as DeWitt Clinton, Theodore Roosevelt and Bronx Science, could have been in your within walking distance of your home, but some of you really needed to take public transportation to get to them even if they were not in your immediate neighborhood.

What was your high school? Were you able to walk there? If not, how did you get there?
