The Highbridge section of The Bronx where I spent part of my youth is bordered on three sides by steep hills. The borders are: South; 161st Street, East; Jerome Avenue, North; E. L. Grant Highway & University Avenue and West
; Sedgwick Avenue. University Avenue is the only way into or out of Highbridge that does not contain a hill, some more steep that others. The hills are, Ogden Avenue, Woodycrest Avenue, Anderson Avenue, Shakespeare Avenue, 169th Street, 167th Street, Merriam Avenue, as well as some lesser ones.
