One time I was at a friends house in college. For some reason he taped us talking. When I heard the tape I could hear the Bronx accent, but didn't think at the time that I had one. This was the early '70s when I was in my early 20s. I was really surprised when I heard it. My wife today says I don't have a Bronx accent, but I'm not so sure of that. Could be diluted with Queens as we lived in both boroughs.
