Hi, Doug!

Alley Pond Park is quite a distance away from where I am presently living on the Nassau/Queens line, three blocks south of Northern Boulevard and two blocks east of Little Neck Parkway. My nearest park is Lakeville Park, on the Nassau side, a short three-block walk from my home. I believe Alley Pond is the largest park in Queens. What a shame that it did not provide better access for you to get there by foot! Anyway, thank you for sharing a wonderful memory of going to Crotona Park with your Dad.

Stay healthy and safe!
Sammy
